you are OK. Today I am going to write about science and technology, especially
about driverless cars. I think that this topic is very interesting and you are
going to learn a lot of things about it, because probably they are going to be
the future of transport in the world.
To begin with, a driverless car is a vehicle that is able to percept, recognise the environment and navigate without human input. The technology of these cars is very advanced. They have a lot of sensors like the GPS or the speed one that is needed to control the speed of the car and to know the route that the car has to follow. One important advantage of these cars, is that they are electric, so you don´t have to waste petrol, which is very pollutant.

However, driverless cars still have to improve a lot of things. The most important thing is their safety. Nowadays, they don´t detect signals, pedestrians or bicycles, so the driver has to be really cautious and aware. They need to improve these sensors so that they can have a better security. Besides, the battery only lasts very little time, something they also have to improve so that they can have more autonomy. In the future they will add charging systems in fuel stations, so that people can recharge their batteries.
Currently, these cars are not available in
the market, but in a short period of time they will be. They are being tested,
because at the moment they can only be driven in highways but not in cities.

I didn't have any idea of what Driverless Cars are. As you have said, I also think they will be the future of transport because apart from their disadvantages, they have an amount of positive things that will make people buy them.
ReplyDeleteI think that Driverless cars will be the future and they will help us to prevent accidents. I also think they will be the best way transports because they won't pollute.
ReplyDeleteThey are amazing...they will probably save a lot of lifes. A better sensor and a long-life battery and I think they will be sold out.
ReplyDeleteI had heard of them before, but I didn’t know they were so advanced. It would be a very interesting experience to be given a ride in one of those. While reading it I’ve come to think that if the sensors are improved they would be very useful for people who travel during the night. By the way, do you think that to drive one of these we will need a different driver license?

WOW this is amazing! Technology is evolving too fast and that scare me, I thought that the future of cars would be the hyrogen car or something similar but I already that no,any way I would like to drive one of these cars in the future.
ReplyDeleteThis is really interesting! I have always wanted a driverless car so you can sleep or watch a movie turing your way, but now I know this is not so easy... you have to have an eye on the road all the time.
